There are several things that differentiate Wake SUP from traditional Wake Surfing and perhaps the biggest one is the length of rides people can achieve. This is due to the fact that you can SUP surf a longer section of the wake, in the pocket or out on the shoulder and you can paddle back into the steeper section if you start to fade off. The paddle and the width of the WAKE SUP board allow for more stability so there is less falling and restarting resulting in higher rate of success for people who are learning. Fox comments, “We think this sport is really going to take off and that is why we have embraced it and created these boards that really excel, plus we are just having so much fun doing it.”

Surfer Robby Naish visited Costa Rica in search of some of the longest waves in the world, which took him to the Pacific coast of the Central America country, specifically to Pavones and Boca Barranca, which are famous destinations for wave seekers.
For the second time in a row, Kai Lenny has won the AWSI’s SUP Athlete of the Year Award for his exceptional skills and outstanding achievements in the world of stand up paddling. Kai has proven himself not only by winning 2 SUP World Titles for wave riding but also in SUP racing and there’s more to come.

Although the company is mainly focused of the design and manufacturing of premium windsurf boards, fins, and accessories, it cannot turn its back on SUP, one of the fastest growing sports on the planet.

Sedert mei ben ik de trotse bezitter van een F-One Manawa 9 '0 een zeer mooi boardje die uiterst geschikt is voor personen tot 75kg en in zowel zachte golven als onshore condities op onze Noordzee zeer vlot surft.
Alhoewel ik toen nog niet echt ervaren was is de leer curve op dit boardje zeer snel en in de kortste keren lukte het om samen met de plaatselijke surfers, Twins Club te Bredene, in de line up te wachten om een binnenkomende golf af te rijden. Het boardje vertrekt zeer vlot in de golven en eens op snelheid is hij zeer wenbaar, in vergelijking met sommige andere SUP's die ik getest heb is het surf gevoel op deze 9'0 wel zeer hoog. Zijn lengte breedte verhouding maakt het boardje heel stabiel , wat het uit peddelen door de golven gemakkelijk maakt.
Hoewel dit een board voor de golven is, kunt u eenvoudig kleine uitstapjes op vlak water maken, op mooie zomerse dagen maakte ik voor de kust vlot SUP tripjes van meer dan een uur , pedel ervaring maakt hier veel goed en zorgt ervoor dat je toch een behoorlijke snelheid kan halen.
De constructie van het boardje is TOP, DOUBLE BAMBOO , een bamboo bodem en top deck maakt het geheel zeer stevig.
Ik ben zeer tevreden met mijn aankoop! En de kers op de taart, ze is zeer mooi..
