iSUP.be Belgian Open op 4/5 mei Info Speciaal

De iSUP.be Belgian open gaat door op Twins Club te Bredene op 4 en 5 mei.
Er is en Wave wedstrijd en een Beach Race voorzien, meer info over de verschillende board klassen zullen we tegen 25 maart online plaatsen in het wedstrijd reglement.
Vanaf eind maart starten de online inschrijvingen voor de deelnemers aan de wedstrijden op de iSUP.be Belgian Open, we zetten de link met alle info vanaf 25 maart op de site.
De testen van de boards en paddles zijn gratis voor alle iSUP.be geregistreerde bezoekers en Facebook fans, een registratie voor het testen is tijdens het event noodzakelijk.

SUP Downwind Run with Livio Menelau Speciaal

Downwind actie uit Hawaii : Mark Raaphorst built a new camera mount that we connected to the back of a SIC race board. I teamed up with Livio Menelau to take it out for a test run. We paddled from Maliko Gulch to Kahului Harbor riding wind swells on hollow, light weight SIC V1 Bullets with built in active steering systems.

Wat is het verschil in een board met een ronde neus en een board met een scherpe neus?
pointed nose vs. rounded nose:
The easiest way to tell the difference is to look at the nose of the board and if it is pointy like a kayak then it will track much straighter when lake paddling. If the nose is up-swept and rounded then it will be less likely to hold a straight coarse on a lake but it would make a good cross-over surf-SUP for wave riding. Which style makes more sense for your conditions?
